UPDATE 5.20pm:

The two people who were taken to Gladstone Hospital as a result of the crash this afternoon on Goondoon St have been discharged.

One of those was a women that had a broken leg, but it was not caused by the crash.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.

EARLIER 3.40pm:

The two vehicles have now been towed away.

Police were directing traffic through the intersection as Queensland Fire and Emergency Services checked for oil on the road.

Firies brushed some sand over the road and have now finished their jobs. 

As they left, police officers took down some statements from witnesses. 

Queensland Ambulance Service have taken two people to Gladstone Hospital.

The operations room didn't know what condition the patients were in but did confirm a lady had a broken leg before the crash happened.

Everyone has left the scene now and the intersection is open.

EARLIER 3.15pm:

A WOMAN with a broken leg has been involved in a two vehicle crash on the corner of Goondoon and Yarroon St this afternoon.

The woman has been taken to Gladstone Hospital by ambulance.

The injury to her leg was not from the crash.

Everyone else is out of the vehicle as fire crews check the cars to make sure they are safe.

Tow trucks have been called to move the two cars.
