Two separate traffic collisions on Gladstone-Benaraby Road

UPDATE: Gladstone Benaraby Rd is back open following two collisions on the road.

Friday 6.05pm: DRIVERS are being diverted from Gladstone-Benaraby Road tonight after two separate collisions.

One is a three vehicle collision, one is a two vehicle collision.

Police said an animal, possibly a horse, may have been involved in a situation where a ute travelling south lost control and went off road and into the grass, while a four-wheel drive had visible damage and was stopped on the road.

The collision was located between Kirkwood Road and the Boyne Island Rd/Gladstone Benaraby Road roundabout.

Northbound traffic has been diverted to the Bruce Highway, while southbound traffic has been diverted along Kirkwood Road.

There have been no fatalities, but possible injuries.
