Two people airlifted from Heron Island
TWO people have been airlifted from Heron Island in the past 24 hours.
RACQ Capricorn Rescue transported 59-year-old American man on Monday night.
It's believed the tourist slipped and fell down the stairwell of a boat after a snorkelling trip, dislocating his shoulder.
He was taken to Rockhampton, arriving shortly after 8pm in a stable condition.
On Tuesday morning the chopper crew transported a 75-year-old New South Wales woman.
She was treated by the on-board doctor and intensive care paramedic for severe abdominal and back pain.
The woman also was flown to Rockhampton in a stable condition.
