Two Gladstone men charged after police find drugs in car

POLICE have charged two men with drug trafficking after a vehicle was intercepted in Gladstone on Wednesday.

It will be alleged that about 1.45pm officers intercepted a vehicle on Tank St before finding a quantity of methamphetamine, cannabis, other dangerous drugs, drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash.

A 24-year-old New Auckland man was charged with seven offences including trafficking in dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a drug utensil and stealing.

He will appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Thursday.

A 21-year-old Glen Eden man was charged with one count each of trafficking in dangerous drugs and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.

He is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 2.
