Two elderly patients taken to hospital after caravan crash

A CARAVAN and car crash near Comet has landed two elderly patients in hospital this morning.

At around 11am this morning emergency crews were called to a single vehicle roll over about 1km east of Comet.

The male has cuts and bruises to his head and the female has suffered cuts to her hands from being extricated from the vehicle.

Both patients have been transported to Emerald Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said there was "a lot of debris" across the road from the caravan.

Police are still on scene investigating the crash.
