BREAKING | Two badly burnt in backyard fire near Boyne

UPDATE 6.50PM:

TWO people -- one male and one female -- are on their way to the hospital after receiving second degree burns to their legs.

One of them was also burnt on the arm.

Both are in a stable condition.

Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to a residential backyard fire on Kanangra Rd at Wurdong Heights at 5.58 pm this afternoon.

One crew attended the scene, the fire was put out around 6.30 and the area was made safe by 6.36 pm.

TONIGHT 6.30PM:

POLICE have been called to a backyard fire at a residential address in Wurdong Heights around 6.10 pm this evening.

Two people have received burns, it is believed no one is trapped in the fire.

Emergency services have been called to the scene.
