Truck driver loses precious cargo at Cairns roundabout

OH BEER.....

The amber ale is flowing, but not in the way most might hope after a beer truck crashed and spilt its wares on a Cairns street.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Anderson St near the Cairns cemetery just after 2pm.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said it is believed the truck lost its load of beer while circumnavigating a roundabout.

Injuries are unknown at this stage.

The Cairns Regional Council are also on scene removing smashed bottles from the road.
