Truck crash closes Bruce Highway

HIGHWAY CRASH UPDATE 1.45PM

POLICE have reopened the Bruce Highway to allow a backlog of traffic to travel past the crash scene.

A crane on its way from Rockhampton to move the overturned truck and trailer is expected to shortly arrive on scene just north of Mount Larcom.

BREAKING NEWS 12.40PM SUNDAY

THE Bruce Highway has been blocked in both directions by a truck rollover which has spilled soya bean across the road.

The crash happened approximately four kilometres north of Mount Larcom at about 12.15pm.

Gladstone police are organising a traffic detour or may be able to let some traffic through.

The truck was towing a dog trailer when the driver lost control.

A crane will be sent from Rockhampton to lift the truck, and a small dozer to remove the grain from off the highway.
