Trevor wants high school for Agnes

MEMBER for Flynn Chris Trevor is scheduled to hold a phone hook-up from Canberra with Queensland Education Minister Geoff Wilson today on the need for a high school at Agnes Water.

A spokesman from Mr Trevor’s office said the hook-up was scheduled for 9 o’clock this morning after the Member for Flynn had made several requests with Mr Wilson’s office to discuss the matter.

“There is nothing Mr Trevor wants more than to get a high school for Agnes Water and he has had ongoing discussions with Julia Gillard (now the Prime Minister) on the possibility of some federal help,” the spokesman said.

“And he has written to Mr Wilson on at least four separate occasions on this very matter.”

Rumblings of discontent were coming from concerned community members in Agnes Water after little feedback on action taken by Mr Wilson or Mr Trevor in the ongoing campaign.

The Agnes Water High School Advocacy Group this week began another email campaign seeking feedback from Mr Trevor on his dealings with Education Queensland.

Spokeswoman Nita Olig said she was pleased Mr Trevor was on the case.
