Trespassers caught on camera at Toowoomba mosque

CCTV footage has been released of four men trespassing at Toowoomba's mosque less than a week after someone tried to set it on fire.

Darling Downs district officer Detective Acting Inspector Paul Hart said four men were captured on CCTV entering a demountable toilet block at the rear of the Harristown building about 6.30pm yesterday.

He said the men were in there for a few minutes before children, who had been attending evening prayers, entered the toilets and disturbed them.

The men then left.

No damage was reported.

It came after a fire was deliberately lit at the West St mosque between 2pm on Friday and midday on Saturday.

Det. Act. Insp. Hart said police would like to speak with the men from last night's incident.

He said investigations continuing in relation to last weekend's fire.
