Traffic held up at Clinton intersection with minor oil spill

TRAFFIC was held up as a minor oil spill was cleaned up at an intersection in Clinton today.

It is understood some form of oil spilled from a truck at the traffic lights between the Dawson Hwy and Aerodrome Rd.

Fire Crews were called to the scene at 11.20am.

The vehicle was travelling west on Dawson Hwy (travelling away from Kin Kora) and was turning into Aerodrome Rd.

Crews from Gladstone Fire Station, Gladstone Regional Council attended the clean-up.

Gladstone Police station attended to divert traffic while the mess was cleaned up.

No injuries were reported from the incident.
