Touching production delivers salute to Aussie war heroes

THE thought of our long-lost Aussie war heroes never fails to touch the hearts of the nation.

And in the lead up to Remembrance Day, Darren Coggan will deliver a touching war-based production at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre Marquee Marina on November 8.

Darren's production, War Stories, is inspired by his family history.

"I'm very proud to be touring this moving salute to the brave men and women who have proudly worn the slouch hat," Darren said.

"This show presents both small and personal stories - footnote-like - that are outside the big, simple mainstream history of Australians at war.

"It makes those chapters of our military history more accessible, more human."

Darren's recent acclaimed show Peace Train played to standing ovations.

Remembrance Day is on Sunday, November 11.
