Toowoomba tourist sees bus roof ripped off in London

A TOURIST from Toowoomba on holidays in England has witnessed a London bus collide with a tree as it was going through Bloomsbury, slicing its entire roof off.
The incident happened at Woburn Place outside Toowoomba man George Helon's hotel.
"Some Londoners could be forgiven for thinking bombs were going off again when they heard the bus colliding with the tree," he said.

The collision took place early this morning (afternoon time in London).
English newspapers report four people were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, and another 40 are thought to have escaped without injury.
Pictures on Twitter show the extent of the damage.
"The emergency services did a commendable job because people were panicking," Mr Helon said.
