Toolooa High makes a 'joint effort'

AFTER doing one lesson a week dedicated to QCS study, Toolooa State High captains Zach Rossato and Melissa Hankinson were looking forward to getting stuck into the exam.

They felt their preparation for the exam had put them in good stead, but were feeling a little nervous.

Toolooa students had completed a simulated situation for the exam, and had received feedback about their strengths and weaknesses from the 'Mighty Minds' program.

The captains felt most wary about the writing task, completing the 600 words in the allotted time.

They said the students had put in a “joint effort” in preparation for the exam.

Approximately 75 Toolooa students will be sitting the exam in the school's English block.

Zach is considering taking a year off next year to work as a dive instructor and Melissa is hoping to study nursing in Brisbane.
