TINY feet taking their first steps into the school yard is one of the key milestone memories parents carry with them for the rest of their lives.

The first school uniform, the first school bag, the smell of leather shoes and the joys of the lunch box challenge are mixed in there too.

This year, to celebrate our current generation of school starters The Gladstone Observer will feature a My First Year pictorial feature on March 23.

The My First Year feature will have hundreds of photos of our preps from across the region.

Every local school has been approached to be a part of it, so it's sure to be a hit.

Don't miss out, put Wednesday, March 23 into your diary and be sure to pick up a copy, or two, of The Gladstone Observer and keep those memories alive for the years to come
