Almost time for new Gladstone ladies’ day spring party

GET your cup and saucer ready, Gladstone has a new ladies' day on its social calendar.

The Koolyangarra Kindergarten and Transit Systems will host a spring garden party on September 14.

Held in the CQUniversity grounds, the event will treat 150 lucky ladies to the finer things in life.

Money raised on the day will go towards maintenance and upgrades to the Koolyangarra Centre in West Gladstone.

The afternoon will include delectable tapas and desserts, hot platters and a free drink on arrival followed by a fashion show.

Chris Bax will provide live entertainment with multi-draw raffles and prizes also up for grabs.

President Ros McCaig acknowledged fundraising committee leader Katie McCafferty for her hard work in organising the event. Tickets are $70 and are available at the Koolyangarra centre, which is on Boyne Cres in West Gladstone. Organisers hope to host the event annually, to add another event to Gladstone's spring social calendar.
