Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser launched for Gladstone

RAISE your tea cups high.

The Gladstone arm of the Cancer Council Australia's Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser has officially launched for this year.

The hosts with the best fundraising efforts from last year's event gathered for the royal tea, a VIP launch held on Thursday in Gladstone.

Cancer Council regional fundraising co-ordinator Jess O'Neill said the launch was a special opportunity to recognise the important work of some of the charity's most dedicated volunteers.

Kelli Noy and Noela Fleming together raised over $9000, making them the largest single event fundraisers in central Queensland for 2013 for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, but they have hung up the kettle for this year.

"I've done it for about 20 years now - Kelli joined the last few years," Ms Fleming said.
