MAN'S best friend has never looked so cute.

If you don't already have a fluffy pooch to play fetch with in your backyard, don't forget to go along to this weekend's Friends of RSPCA dog adoption day.

There is a dog for every home, ranging from big and small sizes and mature-age and pups.

Friends of RSPCA president Judy Whicker said they hoped to find a home for the majority of their 50 dogs available for adoption.

"We're hoping for a really good outcome because we will most probably have an influx of animals over Christmas.

"We've also had about 30 pups handed in to us the last few weeks."

She warned to think seriously before adopting a dog, because they are a lifetime commitment.

People are welcome to bring their own dogs to see how they interact with others too.

If you're after a friendly pup or dog, head down to the PCYC on Sunday from 9 to 12.

All dogs are microchipped, vet-checked and vaccinated.
