Rumours may be swirling about Ben Affleck hanging out with ex- Jennifer Lopez, but the actor is now making headlines for another reason.

A woman has shared a video to TikTok explaining that she unmatched Affleck on the exclusive dating app, Raya, because she thought it was a fake account.

Nivine Jay's now viral TikTok video read, "Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram".

Not one to give up, after Nivine unmatched Affleck, the 48-year-old actor, then took it upon himself to track down up and coming actress Nivine on Instagram and slide into her DM's with a video message.

In the video, Affleck confirms it's him and speaks directly to the camera "Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It's me".

For those not in the know, Raya is an exclusive dating app; known as the app for the rich and famous.

Prospective members have to submit an application to use the app - they are then placed on a waitlist. All applications require a referral from a "trusted source".

Raya's website states: "What makes Raya different is a sense of belonging - a common bond with fellow members of a community, and that can come in many forms."

Many big names are known to use the app. Demi Lovato revealed in her documentary Simply Complicated that she chose to sign up after her split from Wilmer Valderrama in 2016.

Last year, Drew Barrymore told Andy Cohen that she also uses the app.

"I did terribly too. I got stood up, and I didn't match with anyone. My friends gave me this sort of bloated sense of false confidence. They were like, 'You should try it. You will do great'. It was a car wreck," the star revealed.

Ben Affleck is yet to comment on the video. The news comes as the star was recently pictured out and about with his ex, Jennifer Lopez. However, TMZ reported that the former couple are "strictly friends".

When confronted about the reunion by paparazzi over the weekend, Affleck was recorded throwing a drink at the photographer.

Affleck and Lopez were engaged in 2002, and famously dubbed "Bennifer" by the media. But they postponed their wedding in 2003, splitting just months later. Lopez called the break-up "probably my first big heartbreak".
