ORIGINAL STORY: A VIDEO of an altercation between three members of NSW Police and a young man in Casino has been shared on social media this morning.

The video shows three NSW Police walking down a Casino street at night, near a young man.

When the three officers surround the man, outside a house, the person recording the video moves towards the action.

At that point in the recording, the police are heard trying to work out the identity of the man.

The man is heard to say "I'm no-one" a couple of times, and then he is stopped by police from walking away a couple of times.

After a car passes by, one of the officers tries to stop him from continuing walking, which prompts the young man to push the officer's hand away.

At that point, at 54 seconds into the video, another police officer slaps the young man in the face.

The police officer is then heard saying he slapped the young man because he "took a swing" at another police officer.

Both the young man and the person recording the video at that point denied the young man tried to hit police officers.

The Northern Star has been unable to confirm the incident took place yesterday in Casino.

The Northern Star has been unable to confirm the identity of the young man in the video, and has also contacted NSW Police for comment.

More to come.
