Hookup prizes are here – let the fishing and fun begin

IT'S just over a week away and this year's Boyne Tannum HookUp organisers are keen to see the fishing start.

The final boat prizes arrived in Gladstone last week and they're waiting at Curtis Coast Marine, ready to be taken to Boyne Island's Bray Park for the big event.

If you haven't registered yet, you still have time to front up and be in the hunt for one of the $370,000 worth of prizes on offer.

Over the years, the Hook-Up has raised massive funds to help a wide variety of community organisations, with the focus these days on supporting mental health initiatives.

Proceeds from last year's event went towards the creation of a Headspace in the Gladstone region.

HookUp president Jeff Amos said the event was aimed at all members of the family.

"We want mum, dad and the kids to have a great experience - both out fishing and also taking in some of the many attractions at Bray Park, Boyne Island, during the course of the event."

To register for the event go to boynetannumhookup.com.au or call in at Pat's Tackle World or Boyne Bait and Tackle.

The event will run from Bray Park, Boyne Island, from June 5-7.
