The Port City Power 2019 season has surged ahead

BASKETBALL: The Port City Power 2019 season has surged ahead with the signing of Chol Stephen Kiir to help strengthen the team's attack and defence capabilities.

Standing at 6'9 (2.05m) with a 7'3 (2.20m) wingspan, Kiir adds great size and length to the Surge roster.

He has former playing experience in the Queensland Basketball League with South West Metro and North Gold Coast.

Kiir said he looked forward to playing for the Port City Power in QBL19.

He offered his appreciation to coach Walmsley and the club for extending him the opportunity to play.

"I am hungry to continue developing as a player and believe this is the perfect place for me to do that," he said.

Power coach Brady Walmsley said he was pleased with Kiir's signing to help offer a healthy array of skills.
