Works of two QT photographers will endure foverever
SARAH Harvey and Claudia Baxter have moved on but the photos they took working at the Queensland Times over six years will be their everlasting legacy.
The two photographers took countless images covering a wide spectrum of stories but the photos that appear on these page are their very best.
An athlete, school kids and a flood clean-up are the signature images of Sarah Harvey who left the QT a fortnight ago to travel in South America.
Claudia Baxter's award-winning moment frozen in time of police pouncing on the vehicle of a suspected armed offender in 2011 is her most outstanding work.
But as the other photos that appear with it show, she had the versatility needed by a regional daily newspaper photographer.
Meanwhile, the Queensland Times photograhpic team headed by Rob Williams and including Dave Nielsen, Inga Williams and newcomer Kate Czerny, continue to capture the moments that matter to Ipswich.
They are all part of a team dedicated to Ipswich - as we have been for more than 150 years.
