The heat is on again

NEW rivalries in the MasterChef kitchen will provide a few more weeks of dinnertime entertainment for Aussie families.

The new series of MasterChef All Stars sees four finalists from each of the past three series reunite in the hope of reigning supreme again.

"The red team is awesome. I love my team," said series two Top 10 contestant Marion Grasby.

"The thing I love about my team is that all four of us are friends in real life."

The 12 all stars will compete in team and individual challenges in a bid to raise money for their nominated charities.

"There's something about this MasterChef kitchen that makes you tremble in your boots still," Grasby said.

"This time around it's all about raising money for our charities, so it takes some of the personal pressure off but it adds a new kind of pressure.

"It's not really about me anymore. It's about seeing how much money I can raise."

Grasby said the show had also been a chance to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones.

"I'm the same as everyone else in Australia. I only know Julie (Goodwin), Poh (Ling Yeow) and Kate (Bracks) from watching TV," she said.

"There are not many people in the world who have experienced the MasterChef phenomenon from the inside, so it has been awesome."
