Man stabbed, nose broken in bloody assault

A MAN is in a serious but stable condition with a stab wound and head injuries following an attack at Logan last night.

Police were called to an address on Blackwood Rd at Woodridge about 8pm following reports a man was assaulted by two men and had managed to alert a neighbour.

The 26-year-old was found with a stab wound to the upper body, a broken right arm and a broken nose.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment and is in a serious but stable condition.

Police last night declared a crime scene with detective and investigations are continuing.

In a separate incident, Toowoomba detectives have charged a man with wounding following an alleged stabbing at Crows Nest.

Police will allege an altercation between two men occurred at an Emu Creek Rd residence about 7.30pm when one man was stabbed in the upper body.

The 38-year-old man was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital with what police believe are non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 40-year-old man a short time later and he was charged with one count of wounding.

He has been denied police bail and remanded in custody, expected to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court this morning.

Both men are known to each other, police said.
