Thangool woman thrown off horse transferred to hospital

THE RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service retrieved a 33-year-old Thangool woman suffering with suspected abdominal injuries who was thrown from her horse earlier on Monday.

The crew left base at 12.06pm.

The patient arrived in Rockhampton in a stable condition after receiving treatment from the on board intensive care paramedic and doctor during the short flight.

Monday's retrieval from Thangool follows Saturday's task to Moura to transport a 25-year-old female with suspected spinal injuries and Sunday's transfer of a 44-year-old Biloela man after an accident with a power tool caused the amputation of his finger.
