September 11, 2014: Why we must weed out Islamic State
EDITORIAL: Today is September 11, a date that sends a chill down the spines of many across the world.
It was the date, in America, when an act of terror unspeakable was visited on humanity.
The anniversary of that action will be of particular concern this year, especially in the United States.
The evil Islamic State has been expressing its hate in the most abhorred of ways in recent weeks and many fear this is only the beginning, with suggestions a new terror campaign against the West is planned.
If this occurs, it will likely be shocking in its inhumanity.
For many who have studied biblical prophecy, the increasingly vile turn in events fits their understanding of what is to come.
Regardless of whether you subscribe to that theory, the recent bloody murders mark an ugly time in history.
It is clear Islamic State will not simply go away.
Action must be taken to stop it and anyone in Australia associated with it must be weeded out and sent from our shores.
The risk to our country and others across the world is great and we must not accommodate this force on any level.
You can only hope that events over the coming hours don't add further darkness to an already frightening global picture.
