IF you're looking for something to do in the Gladstone region this weekend, here are 10 suggestions to get you started.
1. Calliope Historical Village Markets
EXPLORE hand made arts and crafts, fresh vegetables and more at this weekend's Calliope Historical Village Markets.
Bring the kids along too for a trip on their famous miniature train ride.
With the Calliope river as a backdrop, it's a picturesque location for a market day.
Don't forget to visit the village's historic buildings like the Raglan Hall, Curtis House, Clyde Hotel, Barmundoo Homestead and the Larson Cottage.
The markets will be held on Sunday from 8am-1pm.
2. Free family fun day
A FAMILY day has been planned by UnitingCare Community to celebrate the launch of two new family support services in the Gladstone area.
The family day will include a free barbecue, jumping castle and activities for the kids.
It will be held at Prince Regent Esplanade, Barney point, from 10am to noon on Saturday.

3. Find out more about wargaming
THE Wargamers and Roleplayers of Gladstone will host an open day at the Gladstone Technical College on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.
The college is at 4 Boles St, Gladstone, opposite the showgrounds.
4. Make your own green bag
A SESSION to help people create their own personalised, reusable 'green' bag for shopping will be held in Agnes Water from 10am to noon on Saturday, as part of Plastic Free July.
The free workshop will be at Holidays Cafe, 55 Jeffrey Court, Agnes Water.
The workshop is free. Tea, coffee and meals will be available for purchase at the cafe.
5. Motorcycle ride in region
A MYSTERY ride hosted by Motorcyclists Advocating Child Empowerment will be held on Sunday.
Riders should meet at Calliope McDonald's for registration from 8-9am, with the ride leaving at 9.30am.
The ride will finish in Gladstone around 4.30pm.
Cost is $10 per bike. Cars and kids are welcome.
6. Relay for Life
THE annual Relay for Life to raise funds for the Cancer Council Queensland will be held at Chanel College on Saturday and Sunday.
This year's event has a Christmas in July theme.
A talent quest will be held on Saturday night, with great prizes up for grabs.

7. Cat and dog adoption day
A CAT adoption day will be held by the Friends of the RSPCA Gladstone at 17 Pams Ct, Beecher, on Sunday from 10am-1pm.

8. Discovery Coast Markets
The Discovery Coast Markets are held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the SES Grounds on Captain Cook Drive between Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy.
Browse the arts and crafts, bric-a-brac and fresh produce available to purchase.
The markets are on from 8am to noon.
9. Dog training workshop
DOG trainer Chris de Aboitiz, of Natural Balance Dog, will run a dog training workshop at Tannum Sands from 8am on Sunday.
Cost is $50 per dog. People are free to listen in, with or without a dog.

10. Calliope Club Day
CALLIOPE District Football Club will host a fun day at Bunting Park from 10.30am on Sunday.
The day will feature a match between the Special Olympics team and a mixed senior team.
There will be free face painting and a jumping castle, ball games, soccer, bowling and a chipping competition, plus Zorb balls, sack races and a tug of war.
A bar and canteen will be operating.
There also will be senior games against BITS and Central, with the men's match at 1pm and the women's at 3pm.
