IF you're looking for something to do in the Gladstone region this weekend, here are 10 suggestions to get you started.
1. Spend a romantic day at the races
GET out your best frock for the Valentine's Day Gladstone races on Saturday.
The February 14 race day is always a great day out with friends and is a chance to let your hair down after a busy working week.
The Gladstone Turf Club's gates open at 11am. There will be fashions on the field and plenty of opportunities to put a bet on a local race.
Admission is $15 at the gate.

2. Have a laugh with The Umbilical Brothers
THE Umbilical Brothers are back with a brand new show, and it's a kids show.
But it contains violence, sexual references, drug taking and frequent coarse language, and is absolutely not suitable for children.
Shane Dundas and Dave Collins will perform at Gladstone Entertainment Centre on Saturday from 7.30pm.
"We will take your childhood dreams and blow them up for fun," Shane promises.
Tickets cost $44.90 for adults and $39.90 concession.

3. Gladstone Amateur Boxing Club fight night
THE club's fight night on Saturday will have more than 20 fights featuring boxers from around the region.
It will be a chance for serious Australian title contenders to have a decent bout before the Queensland qualifiers on March 27-29, so it is attracting some big names.
The event will be held at the clubhouse at 24 Moura Cres, Gladstone, from 6pm.
Entry is $20 adults and $15 children.
4. Movie in the park
IF you're looking for a memorable way to spend Valentine's Day, Riverstone Rise will host a free screening of the hit movie Valentine's Day on Saturday night.
There is a limited VIP package available that costs $25 and includes comfy bean bags, a $10 food van voucher, some special treats and a red rose for the one you love.

There will be food and drinks available for purchase, and a limited number of bean bags for hire.
Gates open at 6pm and the movie starts at 7pm. The movie night is being held in Lilyvale Park.
Riverstone Rise is located half way between Gladstone and Tannum Sands.
5. Wizard of Oz performance
CONSPIRE Isis Theatre Company will perform an adaptation of the Wizard of Oz on Saturday night.
Written by Natisha Strudwick and inspired by the book and movie, all of the favourites will be on stage as well as some new friends.
It will be performed at the Gladstone marina stage from 7.30pm. Entry is by donation.
6. Drive-in cinema Valentine's Day screening
A SPECIAL Valentine's Day screening will be held at the Gladstone Drive-in Cinema at the Gladstone Showgrounds on Saturday night.
Dr Seuss' Horton Hears a Who will screen at 7pm, followed by Date Night at 8.45pm.
Entry is $20 per vehicle per movie.
7. Sign-on days
GLADSTONE Central Hockey will host a sign-on event from 3-6pm on Saturday.
Take the family for an afternoon of fun activities including a free sausage sizzle, jumping castles and an exhibition game.
The game will include Queensland and Australian players within the two teams to showcase the game of hockey to the community.
The game will begin at 4.45pm at the Rigby Park hockey fields.
The Boyne Valley Canoe and Sailing Club is holding an open day and general meeting on Sunday near Boyne Dale bush camp.

8. Students' art on show
THE colourful works of the 2015 Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition are on display at the CQUniversity's Gladstone Campus Mezzanine Floor of the Leo Zussino Building, until Saturday, February 28.
From there, the exhibition will make its final local stop at the Gladstone Art Gallery and Museum from February 29, before the fourteen winning works will travel to Saiki City, Japan.
A colourful and imaginative exhibition of paintings, drawings and collages are on display.
9. Blue Care garage sale
BLUE Care Auxiliary will host its regular garage sale at 2 Margaret St on Saturday from 7am to noon.
Donations of good saleable items may be left at the centre at any time, while arrangements can be made for the pick-up of larger items by phoning the centre on 4979 4499 or Ted on 4972 4757.
10. Buy swap and sell meet
THE Nagoorin Progress Association will host a garage sale and buy swap sell meet at the Nagoorin Hall on Saturday and Sunday.
The sale will be on from 7.30am-4pm on Saturday and 8am-4pm on Sunday.
