IF you're looking for something to do in the Gladstone region this weekend, here are 10 suggestions to get you started.
1. Show and shine fundraiser cancelled.
GLADSTONE'S Old School Car Shows to be held at the Night Owl Centre Repco on Saturday from 10am to 2pm has been cancelled due to wet weather.
The event will be rescheduled at a later date.
2. Free outdoor movie screening postponed.
WET weather has also stalled the free outdoor screening of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas at Vantage Park from 6pm on Saturday.
3. Beach Arts Music
THE final installment of Beach Arts Music event has also been postponed due to gloomy weather.

4. Anniversary dance spectacular
RAMPTON'S Danzenergy Studio will present its 45th anniversary spectacular Return of the Guardians with special guest artists Dale Pengelly and Michael Smith.
It will be a story told through tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre.
Join North, Bunny, Tooth and Sandman as they come together against Pitch. They need a new guardian, an unlikely hero… Jack Frost.
The performance will be held at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre from 4pm on Saturday, and will run for about three hours.
Tickets cost $36 adults and $26 children/concession.
5. Boating safety day
VOLUNTEER Marine Rescue Gladstone will host a boating safety open day on Saturday.
Boaties can take their boat along and have Maritime Safety Queensland check out their safety gear.
There will be short information sessions on weather, tides, trip planning, life jackets, marine radio and fishing rules, and those attending can try their hand at knot tying.
Go in the draw to win a $500 safety equipment pack, and get all the details about next year's Boyne Tannum Hook up.
There will be lots of prizes on offer, a sausage sizzle and free ice-cream from 10am to 12.30pm.
The open day runs from 10am to 2pm at the VMR base in Alf O'Rourke Drive, Gladstone.
6. Calliope Historical Village Markets
THE Calliope Historical Village Markets are one of the largest in Queensland and are run on a monthly basis along the banks for the Calliope River.
Take the kids along on Sunday for a trip on the famous miniature train ride, or just check out the variety of homewares, fresh produce, plants and bric-a-brac for sale.
Market-goers also can visit the village's historic buildings including Raglan Hall, Curtis House, Hazeldean Church, Clyde Hotel, Barmundoo Homestead and the Larson Cottage.
You'll find it all on Carrara Rd, Calliope. The markets are on from 8am to 1pm.
Entry is $2.
7. Sungram photography workshop
CREATIVE Gladstone will host a sungram photography workshop on Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
Participants will learn how to create traditional photographs without a camera, harness the power of the sun and explore traditional darkroom photography.
All materials are supplied. Cost is $60.

8. Blue Care garage sale
BLUE Care Auxiliary will host a garage sale at 2 Margaret St on Saturday from 7am to noon.
Donations of good saleable items can be left at the centre at any time, while arrangements can be made for the pick up of larger items by phoning the centre on 4979 4499 and leaving a message, or by phoning Ted on 4972 4757.
9. Christmas cent sale
THE Quota Club of Gladstone will hold its Christmas Cent Sale at the Gladstone Bowls Club on Saturday.
Doors open noon for a 1pm start. Admission is $1 adults and 50 cents children.
There are lots of raffles and prizes to be won.
10. Saturday session at yacht club
GLADSTONE Yacht Club will host a special Saturday session from 7.30pm on Saturday.
There will be live music by Fudge, plus a seafood menu and a relaxed atmosphere.
