Telfords demolish Souths in A-grade softball match

THE Telfords "absolutely flogged" Souths in their weekend A-grade softball match.

Souths player Jeanene Groves said the 11-2 loss was a substantial margin to be beaten by.

She puts it down to a lot of the normal A-grade players being away.

"They absolutely flogged us," she said.

"But a lot of our normal players are away due to other commitments.

"So we had a few B-grade players step up and help.

"Georgina Adnum did a good job pitching for us."

But Telfords didn't think it was an easy win.

Player Wendy Scheide said it was a team effort.

"We batted well together," she said.

"And our pitchers did really well too."
