Teens discover fun on the Flipside with hashtag wars

WITH music, games and a social media twist, Flipside's Hashtag Wars event on Friday is speaking the right language for Gladstone teenagers.

The event will be held from 7-9pm at the Lifestyle Church at 83 Sun Valley Rd.

Flipside youth director Alison Thomas said since having its own centre at the beginning of last year, the youth group had been able to run regular events, including activity nights every fortnight.

"We get generally a pretty good turnout of young people," she said. "It's lively, we have music, DJ, PlayStation, games and MCs.

"It's a safe place for them to go on the weekends.

"We actually have a lot of people from different backgrounds."

Entry is $3. For more information visit www.facebook.com/FlipsideYouthEvents.
