Teens charged over late-night ride in stolen car

THREE teens allegedly fled from police in a stolen vehicle in a night ride around Hillcrest.

Queensland Police said the teens failed to stop for police about 12.25am on Saturday morning at Ewing Rd in Woodridge.

Police used the Polair2 helicopter to track the car before using a tyre deflation device to deflate two tyres on Browns Plains Rd at Heritage Park.

"The vehicle continued until coming to a halt in Browns Plains Road, Hillcrest. Polair2 tracked the three people who jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot," QPS said in a statement.

"All three were located nearby and taken into custody."

A 15-year-old girl and two 14-year-old boys were charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The car itself was allegedly stolen from Camp Hill earlier this month and police said investigations were continuing into the theft.
