Teenager with spinal injuries after motorway crash

A 17-YEAR-OLD female is being treated for possible spinal injuries at the PA Hospital following a crash on the Ipswich Motorway.

Police say the young woman was driving a vehicle on the Ipswich-bound lanes at Redbank when she slammed into a barrier, about 5pm Monday.

The woman complained of pain to her ribs and neck and was taken to the PA Hospital in a stable condition.

Police say the vehicle has been towed away as an exhibit, and it is believed the vehicle had been stolen.
