Tee off for charity

EVERYONE loves a friendly game around the tees and tomorrow will be no different.

There will be no fudging the numbers on the scorecards as golfers tee off in the GTC Financial Charity Golf Day.

The local accounting team will be keeping a close eye on the figures to ensure the event is a huge financial success.

The golf day will raise valuable funds for research into heart disease.

Heart disease is now the leading cause of death in Australia, accounting for 34% of all deaths.

GTC Financial managing director Neville Hughes is looking forward to swapping his calculator for a club to support such vital medical research.

“There’s still time for people to team up with family, friends and workmates, have some fun, raise some money and win some fantastic prizes,” he said.

The charity golf day will take place at the Gladstone Golf Club and tee off will be at 10.30am.

For more information and to register your interest in taking to the course tomorrow to help raise funds to research into heart disease, please telephone the Gladstone Golf Club on 4978 2649.
