Teams tangle in first Spring Cup touch footy competition
THE inaugural Spring Cup touch football competition was held on Saturday afternoon with teams playing 14 30-minute games.
Gladstone Touch Association organiser Jamie Oliver said it had been a good day.
"It was a great social day with loads of great touch football on display," he said.
"It was just to get people out of the house for family fun and fitness. Touch is a sport for everyone.
"All the teams were mixed teams in the end so it was nice that way.
"While team numbers were not at capacity, those that were in attendance were quick to say how much they enjoyed the day and were looking forward to next year's event."
Oliver Property Services and Touch Ups both came into the grand final unbeaten, but Touch Ups won 8-2.
