Calvin saved by another judge in The Voice battle rounds
FORMER Tannum Sands man Calvin Swart has made it through the battle rounds on The Voice Australia.
Calvin was saved by Delta Goodrem in last night's episode, after Jessie J chose to continue with Jack Pellow.
The 20 year old sung Sweet Dreams by The Eurythmics with fellow Jessie J team contestant Jack.
Both armed with their guitars Jack took on a more grungy approach to the song.
Jessie J commented that Calvin looked like he wanted it more but fell back in parts vocally.
While she went with Jack, Delta took advantage of the show's save option and was pressed her buzzer when it mattered most for Calvin.
Each judge is able to save two contestants during the battle rounds.
Calvin's next performance will be in the Super Battles where he will take on someone from Team Delta.
Calvin lived in Tannum Sands for four years where he went to Tannum Sands State High School.
He moved to Brisbane in 2012 to pursue his music dreams.
Before his audition on The Voice Calvin was performing at shows and restaurants in Brisbane.
During an interview with The Observer after his first audition he said he would recommend the talent show to anyone.
"As an artist it only pushes you to be the best version of yourself, not the best version of another artist," he said.
"From the first time I met the producers to now they have always believed in my ability and wanting me to grow in myself."
