Tattooists impress

"IT'S really important to be on the same page as the customer."

That is one of the main qualities a good tattooist must have, according to True Colours Tattoo Studio owner Nellie Parks.

Being "on the same page" as the customer is obviously something the studio does very well, judging by the nominations they have received for the Observer/Westpac Best in Business Awards.

The Best in Business Awards recognise excellent customer service.

Now the team is looking forward to the Best in Business Gala Dinner, where winners will be announced and the small business community will come together and celebrate its achievements.

Ms Park said the demand for tattoos in Gladstone was so high the studio was booked out until mid-November, even allowing for opening hours between 9am and 10pm.

The ability to make customers feel comfortable and welcomed is key to the studio's success.

"You need to be someone with an open mind and a sense of creativity," Ms Park said of the perfect tattooist.

To book a ticket for the gala dinner phone 4970 3000.
