Talent hits the festival stage in quest, battle of the bands

PLENTY of talent was on show on Tuesday night at the 2013 Gladstone Harbour Festival marina stage.

Wowing her way to first place in the junior section of the GLNG and Zinc Talent Quest was Grace Hocking, 14, with Sarah Waters, 14, second, and Izzy Tait-Griffin, 14, in third place.

Taking out first place in the senior category was Chedene Bryne, second Hayley Streeter and third Lisa-Marie Lucke.

Battle of the Bands was a hit for the crowd.

Smashing out first place in that category was Animal Throwdown, second place Wild Violet, and the all-girl group Cinderella Syndrome took out third place.

There will be plenty more entertainment on the marina stage on Thursday from the Gladstone Ports Corporation family fun night.

Highlights will include Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Peppa Pig, Sesame Street and Curtis the Turtle.
