Tannum win secures Brianna a spot in Maxim national final

BRIANNA Abdoo is set to experience an all-expenses paid week on the Gold Coast in May to compete in Procon Leisure's Maxim Australian Swimsuit Model Competition national final, after taking out the local final at Tannum Sands Hotel Motel.

The 21-year-old Calliope resident said the win was unexpected, given the gorgeous line-up of ladies in the final on Saturday night.

Ms Abdoo was one of eight local finalists in the competition, which is hosted by Aurora Model Management.

Aurora Model Management's Queensland director Katie Stevens said judges were looking for a winner who possesses the beauty, poise and personality necessary to become a successful model.

The women were judged in two categories - after five fashion wear (counts for a third of overall score) and swimwear (counts for two-thirds of overall score).

The winner of the national final will have a feature in Maxim magazine and be the next cover girl of the Maxim Australian Swimwear Model of the Year calendar.
