Loving her job has sweet treats in running for national prize

A COFFS Coast businesswoman is seeking the assistance of her many clients to help her win a national competition.

Amanda Schenk runs a small cake and catering business Sugar Plum Cakes and Desserts.

You may have tasted her delicious treats at weddings and conferences, or been lucky enough to be served by her from her vintage caravan at the Friday night Twilight Markets at Park Beach Reserve.

A month ago, Amanda entered a competition for small businesses through MYOB Accounting Software.

For the MYOB Love Your Work Campaign Amanda submitted a photo and provided information about her business with a particular emphasis on why she loves what she does.

Amanda made the top 25 of the national competition and won a $1000 Visa gift card.

Now she is in the running to win the first prize - an advertising package worth $25,000.

That is where the fans of Sugar Plum Cakes and Desserts can help.

The winner will be decided via online voting which closes at 5pm today.
