Cancer survivors all set for pink breakfast

DEL Watkins, Cheryl Jackson and Sue Fewtrell beat cancer and will join other survivors at the first Tannum Sands Pink Ribbon Breakfast on Friday morning.

Held at the Tannum Sands Surf Life Saving Club from 6.45am, the event will be all about pink.

Sue said it was a morning she always looked forward to.

"People should come for a good time and to raise funds for cancer. You see them in the oncology ward but not in the community as much," she said.

"It's great to make new friends."

The breast cancer survivor was diagnosed in 2009 and again in 2011.

Del encouraged the public and businesses to join in the Cancer Council initative, with tickets $35 a person.
