Surf Safe appeal in progress

WITH sunny skies and a few waves, the Tannum Sands SLSC nippers were busy practising their skills at a club day on Sunday.

All the events were on the cards with many of the older members of the club also out in force over the weekend taking part in the Surf Safe Appeal.

Now in its ninth year, the Surf Safe appeal is the largest annual fundraising initiative for SLSQ and is pivotal in ensuring volunteer surf lifesavers have the necessary equipment, training and resources to continue safeguarding our state's beaches.

It's not too late to donate with the appeal running until December 2.

All funds raised go to the club.
