PHOTOS: Gladstone girls go crazy for Supre closing sale

SOME Gladstone women say they will be travelling to Rockhampton to shop once Supre closes on May 1.

Teenagers Kodie Berry, Olivia Jacobs and Jessica Williams all shop there regularly.

"Everybody will be wearing the same thing now," Jessica, 15 said.

Kodie, 14, said she was upset, as it was the main clothing store she shopped at in Gladsotne.

"All the girls in Gladstone will be upset," she said.

"We don't have many shops and that's the main one everyone goes to."

The store will have a half price sale until it closes on May 1.

UPDATE 3.20pm:

GLADSTONE's Supre shopaholics say it's "disappointing" the retail store is closing its doors for the last time and it's left them wondering where they are going to shop next.

Customer Sarah Richardson, who said her "entire wardrobe" and what she is wearing today is from Supre, said she was "a bit upset".

She said she shops at Supre "probably about once a week".

Tamara Stevens said Supre closing means she will have to start buying online, even though she says it's hard to find the perfect fit that way.

"It's sad because it will be one less clothing store in Gladstone for ladies," she said.

Supre store manager Natalie Mammone, who has been at the store for three years, said the store has had to order more stock from neighbouring stores to cope with this last minute rush.

"We'll be getting some more stock hopefully Friday so we can keep generating the sale. Come on down, see the amazing bargains See the incredible girls here. Get some incredible service."

She said Supre had been on an "amazing journey" as it transitioned from its old line of clothing.

"The journey that we've been on is incredible. We've seen it go from old school Supre, taken over by Cotton On brand, and just seen it evolve extremely well."

"There's still some more amazing things to come."

"Unfortunately Supre is leaving Gladstone for a little while."

The store will officially close at 3pm next Sunday.

WOMEN's fashion store Supre is closing its Stockland Gladstone store.

The store will close on May 1, and so up until then everything is 50% off.

Store manager Natalie Mammone said the half-price sale had made this one of their busiest weeks yet.

"It's been amazing," Ms Mammone said. "Yesterday we actually ended up beating our Boxing Day sale turnover."

The company is not continuing its lease at Stockland Gladstone.

Ms Mammone, manager of three years said it was sad to see the store close in Gladstone.

"This is our store, it's our brand and we love it, we're passionate about it," she said.

"We've loved seeing the growth of the brand in the last two years, it seems to have made a complete turnaround."

Ms Mammone said the store had gradually become 'more mature'.

"It's such an iconic brand for teens but we've found that it's becoming more popular among young women too."

The five employees were told last month that the lease would not be continued.

While plenty of stock has already been sold, Ms Mammone said they would have nine more boxes of clothing and accessories arriving on Friday.

More to come.
