Supanova: Jack Gleeson on Game of Thrones' King Joffrey

FANS have known for a while now that the actor behind the universally despised King Joffrey from Game of Thrones is in fact an extraordinarily nice person.

For those of you who aren't as familiar with Jack Gleeson, the 22-year-old actor whose acting credits include Batman Begins, Reign of Fire, and Game of Thrones, we have a list of fun facts he shared with us during his trip to Brisbane's Supanova

Oh, and by the way - [Spoliers!]

1 He considers Game of Thrones to be one of the most significant parts of his life both professionally and personally.

2 He feels great to know his character is so hated.

3 He'd play any character, but thinks mean characters get a better reaction.

4 Ultimately, he'd pick playing a villain over a hero.

5 In Gleeson's mind, Joffrey was an irredeemable character.

6 There is one thing the two have in common, Gleeson says they're both fashionistas.

7 Joffrey's most memorable line? "This pie is dry." It would make Peter Dinklage break character almost every time.

8 Not one to apologise, he says the Red Wedding was the saddest death. Ned Stark? Nope.

9 A fan was once so starstruck that all she could do on meeting him was offer him a bite of her crunchy.

10 Who would Joffrey have ended up with romantically? "Probably Myrcella," he says.

11 Who should have ultimately won the Iron Throne? "Hodor."

12 He considers adding to Sean Bean's long list of on-screen deaths as an honour, but a tiring one that took four days.

13 Regrets? He would have loved to have looked 'badass' in a fight scene, even for a few seconds.

14 His least comfortable scene? "When there're two naked women there and you have to pretend to kill them, it's not your average Tuesday."

Gleeson has made clear his intention to take a break from acting to study, but he told APN that he'll still be helping and working with the theatre group he helped found, Collapsing Horse

The troup recently put on several shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with Gleeson even acting in one.
