Supermarket robbed at Mount Coolum

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery of a Mount Coolum supermarket yesterday morning.

Around midday two men entered the supermarket on David Low Way and approached a female shop attendant at the cigarette counter.

One of the men pushed the woman in an attempt to take the till, but failed. He then grabbed the cash drawer and a charity cash tin from the counter, and the pair fled.

They were last seen getting into a red Ford sedan and heading north along David Low Way.

The woman did not receive any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
