Super group visits workers

WORKERS at Calliope Crossroads recently downed their tools to talk about their super.

Queensland superannuation fund for the building, construction and civil industries, BUSSQ, stopped at the crossroads as part of their blitz of building sites around Queensland.

BUSSQ spoke to workers at the Golding Contractors site at the Calliope Overpass project.

The reasoning behind the mobile tour is that, for workers in building, construction and civil industries, it's often hard to get the opportunity to get their finances sorted.

So BUSSQ created a Mobile Super Centre to tour the state and make things easy for members to sort their super.

The Golding workers were able to access financial and retirement information, as well as learning about other member welfare issues including protection against skin cancer, at their work site.
