SunWise promote cancer awareness

TOMORROW Gladstone can experience a family fun day to educate families on the affects of sun exposure and how to protect yourself leading into summer.

It will be a day full of free activities for the whole family.

The Suncorp SunWise roadshow will roll into town and be ready to go bright and early from 6am with a free light breakfast of muffins, fruit and drinks, free Zumba classes from 8.15am.

The Suncorp SunWise Shade Bar will be onsite with heaps of great things to see and do.

The day is an initiative of Suncorp which is passionate about educating people about the affects of skin cancer and importance of sun protection in summer.

The roadshow was in town in January and was so successful, it decided to roll out again during the school holidays to target kids and families, reminding Queenslanders to protect themselves from the deadly rays this summer.

Other activities on the day include a free facepainter, sack races, jumping castle, rock climbing wall, Rob Kidd from Zinc broadcasting live from 10am to 2pm and the PCYC putting on a barbecue for a gold coin donation.

Everyone is welcome to attend at the Lions Park, Dawson Highway, Gladstone from 6am to 2pm tomorrow.
