Police charge third person at center of amber alert

UPDATE THURSDAY 6/7: SUNSHINE Coast Police have charged a second man following investigations into an incident at a Caboolture home on Tuesday morning involving the removal of a six-year-old girl, who subsequently became the subject of a police Amber Alert.

The girl was located safe and well on the Sunshine Coast around 3.20pm.

A 37-year-old Everton Hills man is scheduled to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 25 charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence.

A 24-year-old Chermside woman and a 31-year-old Mansfield man were charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence (domestic violence offence).

The woman was remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 23.

The man was released on bail and is due to appear in the same court on July 20.

UPDATE WEDNESDAY: DETECTIVES have laid charges against two people after a six-year-old girl was taken from her home yesterday, and found hours later on the Sunshine Coast.

Detectives from the Caboolture Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a woman and man following yesterday's Amber Alert.

The girl was located safe and well with the woman on the Sunshine Coast around 3.20pm.

A 24-year-old Chermside woman and a 31-year-old Mansfield man have both been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence (domestic violence offence).

The woman has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court this morning.

The man has been released on bail and is due to appear in the same court on July 20.

 

UPDATE: THE QUEENSLAND Police Service has located the six-year-old girl who was taken from Caboolture this morning.

The girl was located safe and well with the woman on the Sunshine Coast about 3.20pm.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.

 

EARLIER: QUEENSLAND Police have issued an amber alert and are seeking urgent help from the public as they try to find a six-year-old girl who has been missing since 9am this morning. 

Police say the girl  girl who may be at significant risk was taken from a Caboolture address. 

A 24-year-old woman, Shannon Millikin, and two unknown men were seen putting Lilee (pronounced: Lilly) in a vehicle outside a Lynfield Drive home.

The car is described as being a dark hatchback, possibly a VW Golf or Mazda, with tinted windows, alloy wheels and no registration plates.

Lilee is described as being Caucasian, 120cm tall with a proportionate build, brown eyes, brown hair and was wearing a navy blue tutu dress with white stars and a tulle skirt, and no shoes.

Shannon is described as Caucasian, 165cm tall with a proportionate build, black hair, blue eyes and has a butterfly tattoo on her neck.
