Sunday session with Ken at Tannum Sands Hotel

FEDERAL Member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd may have the blood of a Central Queensland publican, but on Sunday at the Politics in the Pub session the bar tab will not be on him.

Mr O'Dowd will be joined at the open question and answer session at Tannum Sands Hotel by five other Liberal National Party candidates, including Senator Barry O'Sullivan, Sen Ian McDonald, Sen Joanne Lindgren, Minister for Northern Australia Matthew Canavan and Assistant Minister for Immigration James McGrath.

The evening is at the Tannum Sands pub, it will begin at 6pm and is designed to give the public and the senators an opportunity to understand what issues are most important to constituents in Flynn.

"We're just going to talk to and see what concerns people have," Mr O'Dowd said.

"It will be like a listening post and sounding board for locals and the senators.

"They're just coming here to see what's on our minds and what the government can do to help."

While Mr O'Dowd said he would not be drinking much, he explained the atmosphere at the pub would be good to put people at ease, relax and speak their minds.
